Are you Choosing Health. Or Avoiding Being Sick?


Sickness may be common, but it still
normal to be healthy .

Choosing health and avoiding sickness are NOT the same thing.

It may be common to have pain, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or even one or another form of cancer.

Living with daily stress and being overweight, may also be widespread in many people’s daily life.

It may be common, but it is not normal or as it should be.

We can put our level of choosing health into three categories.


Level one -

SICKNESS vs BALANCE:

Lifestyle related eating

Many people in our modern world find themselves here.

Just waiting till they get sick, in any form, and then deal with it. (and only if they have the time!)

At this level, we ignore listening to our body’s small signals that tell us to change the pace, or our direction, and we keep doing what we HAVE to do.

If we break down, we have complete faith in our Western Medicine to fix us up again.

The latest studies show that Western Medicine is the third biggest killer, after Heart disease and Cancer.

That is, adverse effects of medication, wrong diagnoses or we die of a totally different disease or illness than the one we went to hospital for.

Don’t get me wrong.

Doctors, Nurses and other Hospital staff have a very important roll to fill, and do a great job overall.

I just think that hospitals are a good place to be out of, given a choice!

If you choose Level ONE...

Level Two –

MAINTENANCE:

Simple healthy eating When we decide to become healthier, we start eating more fruit and vegetables from the grocery store, and we begin with some sort of exercise either in a group or by ourselves.

Maybe we add some vitamin pills or some medical herbs, just in case....

This phase usually comes AFTER a health scare, one experienced either by ourselves, a friend or loved one.

Now, with this change in diet and intake of extra vitamins, we are ready to face the world in a different light.

I have to congratulate you for STARTING to look after yourself, but is it enough?

Do we get enough vitamins, Iron, Magnesium and Calcium...

At this level we believe that if we at least do a little bit, the results will be fantastic!

I recall some famous guy saying something like the ‘One brick does not a house build’.

My understanding of that, is that it takes more than just bricks (food) to build a complete house (healthy body)!

That leads us to the third level!


Level Three –

REGENERATION:

By choosing Health, we take responsibility for our own complete wellness, which includes our Body, our Mind and our Emotions.

That doesn’t mean we have to know it all, or do everything ourselves.

It means we create an environment in which our body can rebuild itself, and can function at optimum capacity.

That means we don’t only FEEL better, we ARE, actually, getting better.

This level may take us beyond sickness and disease.

Beyond maintenance and start to REGENERATE (renew, redevelop, stimulate, rejuvenate) our bodies Water, essense of life

GIVEN THE OPTIONS, WHICH LEVEL WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

I trust that most people would choose Level Three.

That is one of the reasons I started to write My-Health-Toolbox,

There is so much information out there, teachers, friends, family... and the internet!

I started to put together ‘knowledge tools’, that made sense to me, and that have helped me, and of course many thousands of others, during their journey through life.
